COLUMBUS, Ind.- The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is seeking information in regard to a possible road rage shooting incident on Thanksgiving afternoon.
Officers responded to Indianapolis Road near Brian Drive, at 4:40 p.m., where they spoke with a man who police say told them that his vehicle was sideswiped by a driver of a sport utility vehicle that was passing him on Indianapolis Road, CPD’s Lt. Matt Harris said.
The man also told authorities that when he pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road to check for damage, the SUV driver shot into his vehicle multiple times. The victim was grazed by one of the bullets but was not seriously hurt, according to law enforcement.
The suspect in the shooting was described as a black male, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, with shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was driving a newer model red SUV, possibly a GMC Terrain.
