INDIANA —The midterms are a week away and nearly 300,000 Hoosiers have already cast their ballots, according to NBC News.
As of Tuesday morning, 298,650 mail-in or early-in person votes have been cast in Indiana— 67% of those votes were cast in person compared to 33% via mail-in. About 48% of those voters are registered Republicans while 41% are Democrats. The vast majority of votes, around 65%, were made by Hoosiers 65 and older. Only 13% of votes have been cast by voters younger than 40. Women have cast 53% of the votes so far.
As for mail-in ballots, 156,931 early ballots have been requested in Indiana, evenly split among registered Republicans and Democrats at 43%.
