COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Auditor Pia O’Connor reviewed American Rescue Plan (ARP) expenses for the third quarter of this year at the most recent Bartholomew County Commissioners Meeting. The figures she reviewed will be sent to the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which administers funds from the ARP.
The largest expense during the quarter was $843,716 associated with county government revenue losses. According to O’Connor, that refers to a general amount that can be spent for county government processes.
The chief contributor to county government losses was $722,487 in funds spent on county road overlay projects. Other expenses include $6,651 for consultancy for the sewer at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds and $3,956 for the jail HVAC system project.
The remaining balance at the end of September in the American Rescue Plan Account is $11,703,195.
