JACKSON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Force Construction Company reopened the State Road 39 bridge over Pond Creek, between State Roads 256 and 250, last Friday after a superstructure replacement project in Jackson County.
As the project continues and moves north, S.R. 39 will be closed about two miles south of S.R. 250 for a box culvert replacement at an unnamed tributary to Pond Creek. S.R. 39 should reopen in mid-November. INDOT says the official detour follows S.R. 250, U.S. 31, and S.R. 256.
The $1.5 million contract also included the S.R. 39 bridge over Cammie-Thomas Ditch that reopened in July.
