PLAINFIELD, Ind. – Duke Energy has begun electric transportation pilot programs in Indiana for its residential and commercial customers, offering incentives in hopes of better preparing for the future of electric vehicles. The programs debuted on October 1 and lasts for 24 months.
Duke Energy is offering quarterly credits for charging vehicles during times of decreased demand, commercial charger rebates, and analysis for those interested in switching their fleets to electric. It is also working with school districts to partially fund electric school buses.
The launch of the pilot programs comes on the heels of National Drive Electric Week.
