COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus-area residents will join the fight to end Alzheimer’s disease this Sunday at the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
The local walk will take place at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds on State Road 11 and County Road 200S. Pre-walk activities begin at 12:30 p.m. with the starting ceremony at 1:45 p.m.
Walkers will honor those affected by the disease with flowers during the Promise Garden Ceremony, a moving display of hope to represent the personal reasons participants join together to fight Alzheimer’s.
