COLUMBUS, Ind. – Runners from all over the country will gather this Saturday morning for the annual Mill Race Marathon in Columbus.
The event includes a 5K, a half marathon, and a full marathon. The opening ceremony is at 7 a.m., and all races start around 7:30 a.m. at the Commons. There is also a Kids Fun Run on Friday at 6 p.m, at Mill Race Park.
After the races, everyone is invited downtown for the Finish on Fourth After Party beginning at 9 a.m., featuring music, food, a beer garden, the awards ceremony, and the announcement of the winner of the Cummins-powered RAM 2500 Crew Cab Heavy-duty Pickup truck.
The Finish on Fourth After Party will utilize Fourth Street, from Jackson to Franklin Streets, and Washington Street from Fifth Street to Third Street. Those streets will be closed from 6 p.m. on Friday until 6 p.m. on Saturday. Motorists are reminded to drive with caution on Mill Race Marathon morning this Saturday as there will be other lane restrictions on roads throughout the city.
