TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The German Township Volunteer Fire Department (GTVFD) was called to an accident at County Roads 650N and 50W, near Taylorsville, early Sunday morning. A Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputy was the first to arrive at the crash scene at around 1 a.m.
He advised that the driver was entrapped in his van and asked for help from GTVFD. When firefighters arrived they found that a van, with significant front end damage, had hit a tree. GTVFD crews started the extrication process.
CRH EMS ambulance responded and requested assistance from IU Health Lifeline. Extrication was quick, and the individual was removed in about 10 minutes. Information on the driver’s condition was not released.
