GREENWOOD, Ind. – An SUV/motorcycle crash at the intersection of Morgantown Road and Mt. Pleasant Center Street in Johnson County, on Saturday at around 12:40 p.m., has claimed the life of a Marion County resident.
The man on the motorcycle, Christopher Wright, 27, of Indianapolis, was ejected from his bike and pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The driver of the car, Ethan Wilkerson, 18, of Greenwood, was not seriously hurt.
The initial Johnson County Sheriff’s Office report states that the SUV driver was going north on Morgantown Road and was turning left onto Mt. Pleasant Center Street. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Morgantown Road and hit the passenger side of the car.
The fatal accident is still being investigated. Blood tests for alcohol and drugs are pending.
