COLUMBUS, Ind. – A traffic stop on Wednesday evening resulted in the Columbus Police Department (CPD) taking into custody Jesse S. Woolsey, 28, of Columbus, on several drug-dealing and other drug-related charges.
Officers pulled over a vehicle near 12th and Sycamore Streets for a minor traffic violation just after 9 p.m. While speaking with the driver, they also noted that the vehicle’s license plate had been expired for several months.
After conducting an inventory of the vehicle prior to towing it, CPD allegedly located narcotics, including methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, and fentanyl. Officers also supposedly found smoking devices, two scales, currency, and a replica rifle.
Woolsey was arrested, taken to Bartholomew County Jail, and preliminarily charged with dealing in a narcotic drug, dealing in meth above 10 grams, possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
