JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) invites local artists, emerging artists, art students, and creative community members to submit mural designs by Friday, June 3, for the Color the County Mural Program.
The Color the County Mural Program joins artists and communities through the process of mural-making to create powerful artworks that transform public spaces, neighborhood identities, and individual lives. The selected designer will join forces with JCCF to implement the high-quality mural in celebration of JCCF’s 200th anniversary.
Design selection will be based on but not limited to artistic quality, the strength of concept, originality, uniqueness, appropriateness for our time, and historical context of location will be considered.
The Mural will be located at Gary’s Dam Bait Shop, 592 W. Center Cross St, in Edinburgh.
