NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) released information on Wednesday about a traffic stop made last Thursday. Officers spoke with a female driver, who identified herself as Priscilla Buffington. Bonnie Warriner, 51, of North Vernon, was the vehicle’s owner and shortly arrived on the scene.
Warriner stated the driver’s name was Crystal Pennington. It was later determined that neither name was correct. She was soon identified as Willowdale Anderson, 42, of Columbus, who was wanted on a Bartholomew County warrant for failure to appear on the offenses of possession of a narcotic drug and methamphetamine.
She supposedly admitted to smoking marijuana and meth hours before the traffic stop. An NVPD search of the vehicle uncovered a purse that allegedly contained approximately 81 grams of suspected marijuana and about 16 grams of suspected heroin.
Both Anderson and Warriner were taken into custody, transported to the Jennings County Jail, and booked for several drug-related charges including dealing in a controlled substance.
