COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Indiana Philharmonic (CIP) orchestra has had the same conductor for 35 years. That will change after this Saturday’s performance.
Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. David Bowden concludes his final season with a climactic concert this Saturday, April 23, at First Christian Church, 531 Fifth Street, at 7:30 p.m. The event is labeled, “David’s Finale.”
Recently, the CIP held a promotion, Passing the Baton, to find a replacement for Bowden and has narrowed its search for its new leader to six finalists. They each will conduct a show in the 2022-2023 season and then a new conductor will be chosen.
