COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Louisville and Indiana Railroad plans to restrict lanes on westbound State Road 46 (Third Street) Tuesday evening, March 22, to make crossing repairs near Lindsey Street in downtown Columbus.
The railroad will close two lanes at a time, with one remaining open to traffic at all times, while work is in progress. Restrictions are scheduled to begin at approximately 8 p.m. and last two to three hours. Repairs will be rescheduled if needed due to inclement weather.
Drivers, who are exiting downtown and heading west during this time, are reminded to use extra caution, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through the active work zone.
