TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. – The German Township Volunteer Fire Department (GTVFD), Indiana State Police, and Edinburgh Fire and Rescue responded to I-65 and U.S. 31 for a crash with injury and entrapment Friday afternoon.
Crews arrived just after 3 p.m. and found a truck that reportedly had rolled over several times. It came to rest on the passenger side with the driver still trapped inside.
GTVFD stabilized the vehicle so it would not roll onto its roof and firefighters used an extrication spreader to help remove the driver via the rear window. He was then transported to a level 1 trauma center by CRH EMS.
The northbound lanes of I-65 were closed for approximately 30 minutes for investigation and cleanup.
