NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Friends of the Muscatatuck River Society is sponsoring the 18th annual Fall River “Shady” Sweep on Saturday, October 2, in memory of the founder of the group, Dan Shade.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to canoe a section of the Muscatatuck River or walk along its bank while collecting trash and contributing positively to the environment and community,
Registration will be a drive-thru-style, similar to what the organization did for their spring cleanup.
Participants should arrive at Vernon Commons, at 8 a.m. that day, if they would like to participate.
