COLUMBUS, Ind. – Local Columbus residents have put together a “Fill The Truck” event to help the Afghanistan refugees at Camp Atterbury. It is scheduled for this Saturday, at the old Hubler (Renner) parking lot at 3055 Central Ave., from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Corporate and individual donations are welcome and appreciated. The most needed items are baby diapers, personal hygiene products, and flip-flops. They must be new and unused. Monetary donations are also accepted.

Franklin has also organized an effort. The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council is collecting items to be delivered to Camp Atterbury.
