SEYMOUR, Ind. – Seymour will begin a project after Labor Day that will extend the life of more than seven miles of city streets. An in-depth seal coat of Reclamite, an asphalt rejuvenating product, will be applied on several streets.
Using Reclamite is a way to make newly constructed pavement last longer and provide corrective maintenance on the deteriorated pavement to preserve streets and delay further deterioration and more costly fixes.
The application will take place each day between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. All cars parked on the street need to be removed during those times. Residents will be notified of rejuvenation work on their street by a door hanger beforehand and they will have access to their driveways at all times.
