COLUMBUS, Ind. – The United Way of Bartholomew County announced that its annual Day of Service is set for September 10. The event traditionally matches volunteers with projects that help local community members and agencies. Last year, nearly 200 volunteers completed about 90 service projects.
The 2021 Day of Service will look different again this year due to the pandemic. Most of the sites will be outdoors and volunteers are asked to adhere to each individual site’s preferences regarding masks and social distancing.
“One of United Way’s top priorities is to keep everyone safe, and we prioritize the health and safety of everyone,” said Mark Stewart, President of United Way of Bartholomew County. “We look forward to seeing our community come together to help support our 17 partner agencies.”
