INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced that 5,037 new Indiana citizens were included in its COVID-19 daily update on Wednesday. It was the highest number of cases in a 24-hour period since early January. Over the last 17 months, the state has totaled 833,968 residents with the disease.
There were also 19 additional virus-related deaths and overall, 13,903 Hoosiers have died during the pandemic.
Bartholomew County has recorded 9,018 cases, Jackson County confirms 5,681, Jennings County reports 2,804, and Johnson County has documented 20,822 cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of March 2020.
