GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Greenwood Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its third annual Greenwood Pickleball Open, this Friday through Sunday, August 27 to 29.
The three-day tournament is being held in Craig Park. Men’s events are Friday, with women’s matches on Saturday and mixed doubles events Sunday. More than 130 pickleball players have registered, and all proceeds support the pickleball amenities in Greenwood.
“Greenwood has fully embraced the popularity of pickleball, and our Parks and Recreation Department does a fabulous job of managing these events,” said Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers. “The three-day competition attracts participants from around the greater Indianapolis area.”
