COLUMBUS, Ind. – Heritage Fund of Bartholomew County (HFBC) recently awarded $82,000 in second-quarter grants to local nonprofits from the Community Fund.
The Columbus Area Chamber Foundation received $42,800 to support startup costs for the new Propeller Innovation Center at Columbus Airpark Campus.
Su Casa Columbus was gifted just over $10,000 to support the Making Education Thrive Around Summertime (M.E.T.A.S.) learning program.
The NAACP of Bartholomew County received $10,000 to support the expansion of the Targeted Investment in Minority Entrepreneurs (T.I.M.E.) program.
Just Friends Adult Day Services got $10,000 to support waste diversion pilot at Ethnic Expo events.
HFBC annually distributes over $600,000 to local nonprofit organizations from the unrestricted Community Fund. The grants help meet emerging needs in the areas of Youth Development, Substance Abuse, Neighborhood Revitalization, Innovation/Creativity, and Welcoming Community.
