COLUMBUS, Ind. – With the Labor Day weekend approaching, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is warning motorists about drinking and driving. BCSO is taking part in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign to educate the public about the dangers and consequences of impaired driving.
From now until September 6, officers will be increasing patrols showing zero tolerance for anyone caught driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
“Driving under the influence can have severe, and in some cases, tragic consequences. We’re asking everyone to plan ahead if they know they’ll be out celebrating,” said Sheriff Matt Myers. “These tragedies are preventable, and we don’t want to lose anyone this year.”
