COLUMBUS, Ind. – Luann Welmer announced this week she is seeking the Bartholomew County Republican Party Chair, a position that will be selected on March 6.
“Now is the best time to energize our local Republican Party by expanding upon what is already established, growing the number of faithful supporters, volunteers, and candidates. I’ve identified an amazingly talented team to make this happen,” stated Welmer.
The officers she has put together to run with her to lead the Bartholomew County Republican Party include Josh Burnett as vice-chair, Leah Beyer as secretary, and Liana Lienhoop as treasurer.
Welmer has served as the Bartholomew County Republican Party treasurer for the last eight years. She was elected City Clerk-Treasurer of Columbus in 2011 and re-elected in 2015 and again in 2019.
