COLUMBUS, Ind. – The daily number of Hoosiers being infected with coronavirus in recent weeks continues to be on the decline. The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) on Wednesday included 933 new residents in its Tuesday report of those who have contracted the disease. To date, the state has verified 651,453 cases of COVID-19 over the last 11 months.
ISDH says 20 more deaths were also documented and now 11,825 Indiana citizens have died from the virus.
Since March 2020, Bartholomew County has recorded 7,246 cases, Jackson County confirms 4,591, Jennings County reports 2,119, and Johnson County has totaled 16,138 cases of the pathogen.
