EDINBURGH, Ind. – You would think with the cold and snowy conditions that people would have better things to do than try to steal a vehicle. But the bad weather didn’t stop a would-be thief in Edinburgh on Monday afternoon.
A man allegedly attempted to steal a truck just before 4 p.m. at an Edinburgh gas station/convenience store but was foiled by two Edinburgh Police Department officers.
Officer Hyer, using his good observation skills, caught the guy before the truck-owner would have even known what happened. Officer Crocker also responded to the incident and helped take the suspect in custody.
