GREENWOOD, Ind. – A 16-year-old Greenwood boy was arrested for the murder of another teen in Johnson County over the weekend.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3800 block of Chelsea Terrace in Greenwood, Friday at around 4:45 p.m., after receiving calls about “shots being fired.”
When deputies arrived, they found two people in a vehicle who had been shot. One of the victims, Kashius Davis, 15, of Bargersville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other is facing nonlife-threatening injuries.
Law enforcement spoke to both the driver and backseat passenger who had been targeted. They told deputies that a teen named Marcus had shot them and gave officers his address. The suspect was located at his residence in the 800 block of Lionshead Lane and taken into custody without incident.
Marcus Salatin, 16, of Greenwood, is facing preliminary charges of murder and aggravated battery.
