INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds Hoosiers that this weekend, June 6 and 7, is a Free Fishing weekend in Indiana.
On Free Fishing days, Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish the state’s public waters. All other rules such as seasons, bag, and size limits will apply this Saturday and Sunday.
Free Fishing days are a great chance to learn how to fish, take youth fishing, or introduce a friend to fishing. DNR offers instruction for individuals interested in learning more about fishing, teaching new anglers, and finding places to fish close to home.
