INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that work is scheduled to begin on an $8.4 million resurfacing contract on U.S. 31, in Bartholomew and Johnson Counties, starting tomorrow.
The project will be completed in two sections. The first is from the Young’s Creek Bridge to Westview Drive and Main Street in Franklin, and the second section is from south of I-65 at Taylorsville to State Road 252, near Amity.
Crews plan to start work in Franklin this Thursday evening, May 28. Resurfacing will take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., daily, and crews should finish the part one of the project by the end of July. INDOT says work will then begin on part two of the project with an estimated completion date of November 20.
