COLUMBUS, Ind. – Milestone Contractors is scheduled to begin beam-setting operations this week over Interstate 65, at Carr Hill Road, in Bartholomew County. The work being done is part of a superstructure replacement project that began in February.
This Thursday and Friday, intermittent stoppages of up to 20 minutes will be taking place on southbound I-65 while concrete beams are placed over the interstate. Northbound traffic is affected next Monday and Tuesday.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, construction is expected to take place each day, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Carr Hill Road will remain closed until the project is competed in mid-July.
