INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced at noon on Friday that 643 new cases of Coronavirus had been registered in the last 24-hour period. Statistics now show the state has recorded 23,146 known cases of COVID-19. The number of positive results has remained fairly steady the last two weeks.
ISDH says fatalities from the disease have now reached 1,328 in Indiana, as 33 Hoosiers lost their battle between Thursday and Friday. The daily death rate has been on the decline the last several days.
The COVID-19 numbers for local counties indicate Bartholomew with 331 cases/22 deaths, Jackson has 251 cases/1 death, Jennings reports 93/3, while Johnson documents 769 cases/83 fatalities.
