NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office is planning to open, by appointment only, starting on Monday, May 11. The decision is being made as many portions of the state begin to get “Back on Track.” To make appointments, call 812-346-8642.
As the sheriff’s department reopens, you can schedule appointments for gun permits, background checks, and more. Limited inmate visits will also resume.
Masks are recommended for citizens, and while in the building people are asked to maintain social distancing guidelines of staying six feet apart. Jennings County deputies have the right to refuse entry to anyone they think might show COVID-19 symptoms.
