COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) is begining to resume standard operations in many of its services and departments. The hospital says that the new phased approach will be conducted within conditions designed to preserve the safe, effective, and efficient care of its patients, workforce, and the community.
CRH has started contacting patients to reschedule medical procedures or services that have been delayed under Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s previous executive order for hospitals and health systems to suspend non-urgent and elective procedures. Services being re-established with this phased approach include, but may not be limited to, surgical services, screening and diagnostic procedures, and other outpatient therapies and treatments.
“We are elated to be able to reestablish this next level of care capacity to help patients maintain their healthcare needs,” said President and CEO of Columbus Regional Health Jim Bickel.
Officials assure the public that CRH will continue to meet the high standards of safety that are required during the COVID-19 pandemic.
