INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) confirmed 605 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours ending at noon Wednesday. The latest numbers confirm that overall, 17,182 Hoosiers have contracted Coronavirus. An additional 63 deaths were also reported as the state’s fatalities rose to 964. About 19% of the 91,550 tests documented by ISDH have been positive.
Locally, Bartholomew County saw an increase to 241 confirmed cases of the disease, Jackson County now has 128, Jennings County reports 74, and Johnson County has 563 cases.
Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb announced on Tuesday that large-scale COVID-19 testing is on the way. Within its first 30 days, officials expect another 100,000 residents to be tested.
