COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Utilities Service Board approved a request to approve consulting contracts Thursday morning. These include contracts for the west side interceptor, riverwalk sewers, southeast sewer improvements, a staffing study to be conducted by Baker Tilly, and prioritization of water main improvements.
One improvement that has to go forward immediately is the water main extending along 8th Street, from Lafayette Avenue to Maple Street.
Columbus City Utilities Executive Director Scott Dompke told the board this was the first series of a number of contracts to be presented for consideration.
