COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Clerk Jay Phelps announced on his Facebook page Wednesday evening that he will be serving as the Vice President of the Indiana Clerk’s Association for 2020. In this role, he will represent voters, taxpayers, and constituents across the state while also being the voice of Bartholomew County.
Phelps will also serve another year as the Legislative Chairman of the Indiana Clerk’s Association, representing clerks from around the state to ensure that Hoosier voices are heard at the Indiana House and Senate through meaningful legislation in a bipartisan effort.
He met Hoosier lawmakers Tuesday and said it was productive. Phelps said, “I believe the 2020 Legislative Session will be positive and impactful.”
