COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Heritage Fund announce that they recently awarded $84 thousand in grant funding to local nonprofit organizations as part of their fourth quarter grants cycle.
This quarter’s recipients include Bartholomew County Humane Society who received $20 thousand to install solar energy panels, Southern Indiana Housing and Community Development Corporation who got $25 thousand for constructions costs of a new residential development, Family Service, Inc. who received over $19 thousand to fund a new program, the Columbus Area Chamber Foundation who was awarded $10 thousand to help develop a compelling website, and the Columbus Redevelopment Commission who received $10 thousand in support of the City’s efforts to obtain an award from Indiana’s Next level Trails Grant Program.
Each year, through support from the community, Heritage Fund distributes approximately $500 thousand in grants to local nonprofits from the Community Fund.
