FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Franklin Symphonic Council (FSC) has announced its biennial drive for donations of musical instruments. Donors can reduce the amount of clutter in the attic by sharing unused instruments stored away. The council will gladly recycle them by paying for minor repairs, so that beginning-musicians may reuse instruments with a lot of life left in them.
The FSC is gladly accepting any type of gently used musical instrument to be refurbished and donated to the Franklin Community Middle School band program for students in the band who cannot afford their own instrument. After any needed repairs, the instruments become the property of the Franklin Community Middle School and the donor will receive a letter from the FSC acknowledging the donation of the instrument.
To donate an instrument, please contact Jaime Shilts at 317-691-2017.
