BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that two traffic switches on Interstate 65 are coming to Bartholomew and Jackson Counties this Friday as part of the $143 million reconstruction and added travel lanes project that began last year. The changes will be the first step toward moving traffic into the project’s winter shutdown configuration.
Beginning Friday night, southbound traffic will be shifted back to the southbound side of I-65, from just south of S.R. 11 to Seymour. On Saturday night, northbound traffic will be moved back to the northbound side of I-65, from just north of S.R. 11 to the south of S.R. 58.
After the switch, INDOT says traffic will travel in its respective lanes through the end of the project.
