COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) announced on Tuesday that it will close on Tuesday, November 19, due to staff members requesting personal days for Red For Ed Action Day.
BCSC made the announcement on social media Tuesday afternoon, and also stated that November 19 will not be an e-learning day. Instead, the school system will use March 10, 2020, as a makeup day.
“We appreciate the effort of BCSC staff members to participate in the Red for Ed Action Day in an attempt to enact change at the state level for public education and hope that elected officials pay close attention to their message. The increasing financial constraints that our school corporation faces are many and will continue to present challenges that require ongoing support from our community and state legislators,” said Superintendent Dr. Jim Roberts.
