JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor Morphey Construction is beginning work on a traffic signal visibility improvement project at various intersections along State Roads 37 and 135, in Johnson County.
INDOT says maintenance starts today, Friday, November 1, as 17 traffic lights are being enhanced to four-head signals with flashing yellow arrows, allowing drivers to turn left after yielding to both oncoming traffic and pedestrians.
Upgrade locations include County Line Road, Fry Road, and Fairview Road, among others throughout Johnson County. The intersection at S.R. 37 and Smith Valley Road will also be upgraded, and some lane restrictions may be in place while the upgrades are being made.
