COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) responded to a heavily involved residential fire early Friday morning. The call came just after 12:30 a.m.
The blaze started in a camper parked next to a garage in the 3800 block of Greenbriar Drive, and flames rapidly spread to the residential structure. The occupants of the home safely escaped.
Firefighters worked for over an hour before the fire was deemed under control. The home was a total loss.
CFD says the exact cause of the early morning blaze is undetermined at this time.
