SEYMOUR, Ind. – Jackson County United Way is hosting a poverty simulation this Wednesday, October 30, at the Aisin Training Center, 1665 East 4th St., in Seymour. The goal is to help employers and residents create a deeper understanding of what some struggling, working families face and the difficult decisions they have to make.
The discussion is a collaboration of the Community Foundation of Jackson County, Human Services Inc., and nine other organizations.
“The simulation will help bring to light some of the tough choices that those living in poverty must make,” Couch said. Jackson County United Way supports 20 local service organizations, including Anchor House, the Boys and Girls Club, and Meals on Wheels.
The event is free, but you must register in advance online.
