FRANKLIN, Ind. – Once again, the Franklin Chamber of Commerce has been designated as a Neighborhood Champion, in support of “Small Business Saturday,” for the seventh consecutive year. It’s a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide and is celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The goal is to give small businesses across the country a boost.
Franklin shoppers are encouraged to take part in the small business event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you stop by the Franklin Chamber offices, you will receive “Shop Small” giveaways, incentives, coupons, information on participating business, and refreshments.
“The chamber has hosted this open house for seven years and it has become a family tradition for many in our community. The goal is to encourage shoppers to support small, locally-owned shops and restaurants, not only on Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend but all year long,” said Rosie Chambers, executive director of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce.
