COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) was dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Deaver and Jonesville Roads early Thursday at about 5:20 a.m. When deputies arrived, they found four vehicles involved in a property damage accident.
A vehicle turned off of Deaver Road onto Jonesville Road (State Road 11) and it was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound, which eventually was the catalyst for a four-vehicle pile-up. Drivers of the cars involved are Russell Petro, 75, Jonathon Hoffman, 25, and Heather Babb, 50, all of Columbus, and Gregory Snyder, 58, of Shelbyville.
The Columbus Fire Department and Columbus Collision assisted in clearing the scene while BCSO deputies diverted traffic. There were no injuries reported.
