NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Community Foundation (JCCF) board of directors announced that after more than a decade of leadership, Executive Director Barb Shaw is retiring on October 31. Joanie VanHorn, who has served as the program manager and assistant director, has been appointed the new executive director.
Shaw began her association with the foundation in 2002 and took over as executive director in 2008. She has nearly doubled the foundation’s growth and helped JCCF reach $6.4 million in total assets. The organization has nearly doubled scholarships and endowments during her tenure.
VanHorn, the new executive director, first joined the Jennings County Community Foundation in 2008.
