COLUMBUS, Ind. – A local man, who was spotted trespassing at a Columbus department store, was later arrested by the Columbus Police Department (CPD) on several drug charges Thursday evening.
CPD reports that shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday, officers were dispatched to the Walmart off Whitfield Drive, in regards to a man who was trespassing inside the store. Police say Walmart employees told them that Cameron Dicken, 29, of Columbus, had also been caught trespassing earlier this year.
Law Enforcement made contact with the suspect inside the store, and he was placed under arrest. Officers searched his backpack and allegedly found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, syringes, and a digital scale.
Dicken is now at Bartholomew County Jail, charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug injection device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespassing.
