FRANKLIN, Ind. – A Johnson County Circuit Court judge found Tiaan Toliver, 22, of Greenwood, guilty of sexual battery, after a full day bench trial on Monday. Toliver was convicted of engaging in sexual touching of a victim while she was sleeping, a level 6 felony, during August 2017. Sex crimes Deputy Prosecutor Ryan Bland handled the trial.
“With supporting evidence from medical staff at Riley Hospital and exemplary work from Detective Patti Cummings of the Greenwood Police Department, the judge was able to find Toliver guilty,” said Bland.
Toliver was taken into custody and will remain in jail pending his sentencing hearing which is set for October 21. Along with facing jail time and a fine, Toliver will be required to register as a sex offender for ten years.
