INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Having finished all of the work on the southeast side of Interstate 465, between I-65 and I-70, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) reopened the expressway Sunday evening.
Portions of that section of I-465 have been closed intermittently since August 9. That traffic nightmare is over for now as INDOT moves on to other projects.
The I-465 maintenance was part of a statewide, $150 million plan to repair damage and to improve pavement conditions around Indiana.
