COLUMBUS, Ind. – On Tuesday afternoon, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies were dispatched to the area of East County Road 100S and National Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident with an injury.
Motorcyclist Lloyd Cooper, 56, of Elizabethtown, allegedly rear-ended a car driven by Cherokee Joe Heath, 27, of North Vernon. BCSO says Heath’s vehicle was stopped in traffic at the time of the collision. Cooper was reportedly ejected from his motorcycle and life-lined to a trauma center in Indianapolis.
Heath, who had an outstanding Jennings County warrant, was arrested and transported to the Jennings County Jail.
